No 805? Do you hate fun?

If 805=fun and this picture doesn’t? Then I hate fun because fun is way overrated compared to whatever sort of bacchanalia I have going on here.

805 is one of their weakest offerings. However, I love Firestone and I just got their Luponic Distortion 002 and it’s fantastic.

That Parabola’s a good one.

All four of them are (that’s a 2013, 2014, 2015, and a 2016). Same for Sucaba.

Ha. My eyes zoned in on the 2015 and skimmed right over the other years.

805 is not a good beer, nor does it represent my area code. It is made for tourists who want to feel local.
Edit: It’s also made for drinkers of the big three ‘Merican beers who don’t have a taste for typically hoppy West coast beers.

I’ve been waiting for the correct occasion to go full vertical. Also debating whether I should include the 2015 Parabajava and the 2014(?) Maltose Falcons with these verticals.

Vertical tasting, please.

That’s the intent. Have a similar set of Merkin’s too. And Anniversary ales. My beer fridge is fairly dominated by FSW.

If you have any special requests, the brewery is 20 minutes away...

We get very limited Firestone Walker here in the mid Atlantic, and certainly nothing like that. Consider me jealous.

If I ever have any, I’ll let you know. My brother just returned with a bunch of stuff from Barrelworks and a couple of bottles of Rye DDBA and the Walkers Imperial Reserve. How do you ever have money? If I lived that close I would have to figure out some way not to literally spend all of my money there.

To be fair, I bought all of these new. I’ve been very patient. I have a few bottles of some years, but for a couple of them, only one. And in the case of the 2014, haven’t had it, period. This is the only bottle I got, and it never came close enough for me on tap to ever find it.

Yeah, if you have ‘em, why not?

Kind of my thought as well.
It’s kind of the definition of first world problems. LOL

Yeah. I don’t have the patience to save for verticals. I think I’ve just had the 2014/2015 Sucaba and Parabola, anyway.
Vertical tasting events are always fun, though.

I don’t drink during the week and my kids take all my free time. It seriously saves $200 a month between all the breweries and pubs nearby.

Yep. Having kids and almost only drinking at home, and really only drinking one or two nights a week makes a HUGE difference. But still being that close...
